Day Two: Que, No Pandora?! Are you Serious!!

image

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

We believe that you are in Mexico (your IP address appears to be XXX.XXX.XX.XX). If you believe we have made a mistake, we apologize and ask that you please email us.

If you have been using Pandora, we will keep a record of your existing stations and bookmarked artists and songs, so that when we are able to launch in your country, they will be waiting for you.

We will be notifying listeners as licensing agreements are established in individual countries. If you would like to be notified by email when Pandora is available in your country, please enter your email address below. The pace of global licensing is hard to predict, but we have the ultimate goal of being able to offer our service everywhere.

We share your disappointment and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Tim Westergen

You heard or read correctly! So apparently, Pandora does not work in Mexico.

Nevertheless, there are other alternatives.

Currently, I am jamming to Spotify.

Day One: Across the Border Experience

Although, you have to buy propane gas for your oven to work off of a want to be ice cream truck once a month and a 5-gallon jug of water because the local water will kill you, living in Mexico is not all that bad.

If you are an America and would like to move to Mexico, please expect to have the following items:

1.       A passport or Birth certificate. Either one can get you back into America, however with the Birth Certificate you have to wait nearly an hour in line, sometimes more. If you have a passport, you can go through the express lane.

2.       Register with the U.S. Embassy in Mexico by visiting  so the Unites States knows you are here!

3.       I have to get a USA based P.O. Box to have you mail sent to. The Mexican mailing system is privately held and not the most trustable carrier. If you are balling and would like to pay an additional fee for UPS and FedEx

Pros:
For $16 in American currency, you can buy groceries and eat like a queen. The dish below cost me $30 pesos. That’s about $2.50. It was delicious and worth every cent.

Take a look for yourself : Pollo Soup

Cons:

Make sure you live in a gated community. I would not have it any other way.
Never leave your house at night time!

If you are a woman, especially African-American, expect to be the center of attention. You may receive marriage proposals out of the blue. Smile and turn the other way.

Mexican men will love and adore you. On the other hand, Mexican women will kill you will their looks,  silence and thoughts
